UK free speech ‘not in great shape’ following Hasan Piker and Cenk Uygur ban

Writer and broadcaster Esther Krakue claims free speech in the UK is “not in great shape” following the government's decision to ban left-wing commentators Hasan Piker and Cenk Uygur. “From where I’m standing, Hasan Piker and Cenk Uygur are just your run-of-the-mill left-wing progressive commentators, and I don’t see why they should fall into the same category as people who outright call for violence,” Ms Krakue said. “At the end of the day, I think free speech is not in a great shape in the UK, and I don’t think this puts it on better footing, unfortunately.”
