Video Description
Airliner's nose gear collapses while parked at the gate at Frankfurt Airport #breakingnews #germany #boeing #plane #travel #accident A plane's nose gear collapsed while it was parked at the gate at Frankfurt Airport in Germany today. The Boeing 787 operated by Lufthansa was preparing for departure to Los Angeles when the machinery on the aircraft suddenly broke at around 12:45 pm local time. 'Passengers had not yet boarded, but several staff members were injured and are currently receiving medical treatment,' a company spokesman said. The aircraft, named Herne and delivered in January 2026, was seen with its nose sharply tilted onto the tarmac as ground crew in safety vests secured the area and emergency teams responded. No passengers were on board at the time, but several airport staff members were injured in the incident. Engineers and aviation authorities are currently inspecting the aircraft to determine the cause of the landing gear failure.
