Video Description
A wild day at Pelican Point reveals a heartbreaking paradox. Whenever the OCN team arrives, groups of terrified seals instantly mistake us for predators and sprint toward the wated. To them, the ocean represents absolute safety. But judging by the staggering amount of plastic choking our seas, we strongly disagree. They don't know that the water holds far more hazardous, invisible traps than the dry sand ever could. Marine plastic entanglements are entirely man-made, and they are deadly. On days like today, the sheer number of entangled animals means our rescuers are picking them out like ripe grapes in harvest season. But with every life we save, we see the painful truth: we aren't fighting the core issue. We are simply treating the symptoms of a much larger, deep-rooted global plastic pollution crisis. Thank you for watching, sharing, and helping us bring the truth about our oceans to light. 🦭 - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Please visit our website to find out more about our work and how to support us: ➡ Website: https://www.ocnamibia.org/ ➡ Donate via Paypal: https://ow.ly/BTm550PIavq ➡ Donate via Stripe: https://ow.ly/Xy1F50PIMzQ ➡ Support via Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/OCN ➡ FAQs: https://www.ocnamibia.org/faqs Follow us on social media: ➡ Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/oceanconservationnamibia/ ➡ Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/OCNamibia ➡ TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@oc_namibia ➡ LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/company/ocnamibia/ ➡ Twitter: https://twitter.com/ocnamibia 😊 Thank you for every like, share, comment and subscribe 😊 Ocean Conservation International is registered as a non-profit organisation under chapter 501(c)3.
