Video Description
🇿🇦 Best South African Fast Food: https://youtu.be/HUcfNu5wED8 👉 SUBSCRIBE for more: https://www.youtube.com/@MarkWiens Today we’ll be going on a South African street food tour in the Soweto Township of Johannesburg. This was my first introduction to South Africa and I was surprised by some of the foods! Matmash - First place we went for breakfast was this little fast food cafe to try Magwinye and the famous Kota sandwich. Ellen’s Lunch - Continuing for lunch we had a real South African meal including Pap (Maize Staple), Ox Tripe (Mogodu), Hardbody Chicken, Atchar (Mango Pickle), and Cow Head (Inhloko). Christbel - Next up in Soweto we tried a different type of kota, this one a Kota Mince. Fried Liver Stall - Soweto has some amazing food spots, and we then headed to a man who’s been selling Ox Heart and Liver for 15 years. B n G Taste Fast Food - Probably the most famous of all South African food is Shisanyama, grilled meat, and South Africa really knows how to do it. We had a full mix of meats including beef, chicken, and boerewors. But which South African street food of the day was my favorite? Thank you to Gumbo and Cindy from https://experientialtravelafrica.com/ for helping me to arrange this trip to South Africa.
