Video Description
Today we join Misha and Sasha for a one-year fight against the forest itself, a brutal confrontation with water, cold, mud, snow, and time. Their original shelter was a dugout built partially underground, designed to survive the Siberian winter by using the earth as insulation. But every spring, melting snow transformed the structure into a flooded trap. In fact, in wilderness conditions, a wet shelter is more dangerous than a cold one, and eventually they are forced into a painful decision: abandon months of labor and rebuild everything from scratch above ground, where the forest can no longer drown them. But building higher means building harder. There are no trucks delivering timber, no contractors, and no machinery waiting nearby. Every tree must be cut, dragged, stripped, lifted, and fitted by hand while the seasons close in around them. The forest provides the materials, but it demands physical endurance in return, as every structural decision carries consequences once winter comes. Over the course of a year, the cabin slowly transforms from raw logs into a functioning refuge capable of resisting the environment surrounding it. By the end, every beam, every joint, and every wall stands as proof of what it took to earn the right to stay in the forest.
