About Iberia:
Iberia is the flag carrier airline of Spain, headquartered in Madrid, and a founding member of the Oneworld alliance. Known for its extensive network between Europe and Latin America, Iberia operates international long-haul and short-haul flights from its main hub at Madrid-Barajas Airport. The airline offers Economy, Premium Economy, and Business Class cabins on wide-body aircraft, including the Airbus A330 and A350. Iberia’s Business Class features lie-flat seats, Spanish cuisine, and access to VIP lounges. As part of the International Airlines Group (IAG), Iberia codeshares with British Airways, American Airlines, and Qatar Airways. Though often criticized for inconsistent service and outdated cabins on certain aircraft, Iberia remains a major transatlantic player. Frequent flyers can earn and redeem Avios through the Iberia Plus loyalty program. The airline continues modernizing its fleet and enhancing its in-flight product to compete with other European legacy carriers.
About A330-200:
The Airbus A330-200 is a long-range, wide-body twinjet aircraft popular with airlines for its efficiency, comfort, and reliability. A shorter variant of the A330-300, the A330-200 offers a range of up to 13,450 km (8,360 miles), making it ideal for transatlantic and intercontinental routes. It typically seats between 210 and 250 passengers in a three-class configuration and is operated by carriers such as Iberia, Lufthansa, Delta, and Qatar Airways. The A330-200 features a spacious cabin layout, quiet engines (typically Rolls-Royce Trent 700 or GE CF6), and a flexible cargo hold. Many airlines equip the A330-200 with lie-flat seats in Business Class, offering a competitive onboard product. Known for its cost-efficiency and ETOPS-certified performance, the A330-200 is frequently used on secondary long-haul routes. Though newer models like the A350 are gradually replacing it, the A330-200 remains a workhorse in global fleets.
