A message from Paul Watson - Nuuk Prison, Greenland

When I shared our latest Honest Government Ad the other day, I forgot to mention that the Authorisation message at the end was actually spoken by Paul Watson, who recorded it from his prison cell in Nuuk, Greenland. What a f@!king legend This wasn't the easiest thing to do, as Paul isn't allowed a phone in his cell and can only receive 1 phonecall per day whilst in custody. So it took some nifty organising and maybe a bit of clandestine recording to make it happen. It means a lot to me that Paul made the time to do this under the circumstances, as it shows how much he appreciates and values us covering his arrest. Speaking of his arrest: tomorrow, the Danish government decides whether to release Paul Watson or continue to detain him for extradition to Japan. So this really is one of those all-hands-on-deck moments to defend a guy who has dedicated his life to defending the wild.
