Video Description
From raw material to brand new pins, we’re making parts for a CAT 14M grader and saving our customer thousands! In this job, we’ll be making one new axle linkage pin and two mounting pins for the blade group assembly on a Caterpillar 14M Motor Grader. We start with cutting material to size on our horizontal bandsaw, before heading to the lathe to machine the plate off the old axle linkage pin. After straightening it with our 150-tonne press, we’ll weld it onto the newly machined pin and finish it off with a fresh coat of CAT yellow. The mounting pins will take plenty of machining — we’ll be turning down induction-hardened material, cutting chamfers, threading both ends, and then moving over to the milling machine to drill holes for the locking split pins. It’s going to be a straightforward and satisfying job, and a massive saving for the customer compared to buying OEM! Join our channel: We upload new videos every Friday at 5pm AEST!
