Sitting in the darkness is a small jumping spider staring directly back into the glowing lens. Jumping spiders are known for their incredible eyesight and curious behavior. Instead of immediately hiding, this one appears to investigate the camera itself, moving its pedipalps and tracking the probe as it approaches its hiding spot.
