TRIBUN-VIDEO.COM, JAKARTA - Demo dukungan terhadap program Makan Bergizi Gratis (MBG) bermunculan menyusul rentetan aksi masyarakat dan mahasiswa yang menolak program tersebut dilanjutkan.
Dalam beberapa hari terakhir, demo mendukung atau pro-MBG digelar di Jakarta, Yogya, Jambi, Pekanbaru hingga Medan.
Menariknya di tengah pro dan kontra program MBG, Wapres Gibran Rakabuming Raka mengambil gebrakan.
Gibran mengajak 5 mahasiswa dari berbagai universitas saat kunjungan kerja ke wilayah Indonesia Timur, yakni Ende, Gorontalo, dan Papua pada Kamis (18/6/2026).
Tujuannya agar para mahasiswa yang sebelumnya menuntut penyetopan Makan Bergizi Gratis (MBG), bisa melihat langsung program tersebut di daerah - daerah yang bukan perkotaan besar.
Pakar kebijakan publik sekaligus dosen FISIP Universitas Katolik Parahyangan (Unpar), Kristian Widya Wicaksono, menilai aksi Gibran mengajak mahasiswa dapat mengurangi kesenjangan informasi.
Sebab mahasiswa bisa menerima informasi langsung dari sisi pemerintah, bukan cuma membaca yang ramai-ramai di media sosial.
"Untuk mengatasi kesenjangan informasi, metode seperti ini bisa menjadi solusi agar mahasiswa juga mendapat informasi dari sisi upaya pemerintah dalam kebijakan pengelolaan lahan di Papua," kata Kristian.
