Video Description
A Himalayan Pika, a small high-altitude mammal found across the Himalayan mountain range. The animal is visible among rocky terrain typical of alpine slopes and cold mountain habitats. Himalayan pikas are members of the order Lagomorpha, making them more closely related to rabbits and hares than to rodents. They are recognized by their compact bodies, short limbs, rounded ears, and lack of a visible tail. Pikas inhabit elevations generally ranging from 2,600 to 4,400 meters, where they shelter among rock crevices and alpine meadows. The footage documents a mountain-adapted mammal in its natural Himalayan environment. #HimalayanPika #Pika #HimalayanWildlife #AlpineMammals #MountainWildlife #WildlifeOfIndia #Lagomorpha #NatureDocumentary #HighAltitude #IndianWildlife Himalayan pika, pika species, alpine mammal, Himalayan fauna, mountain wildlife India, Lagomorpha, high altitude animals, rock dwelling mammal, Himalayan ecosystem, wildlife documentary India This footage is part of the broadcast stock footage archive of Wilderness Films India Ltd., the largest HD and 4K collection from South Asia.
