Video Description
This is the new Mercedes-AMG GT 4-Door Coupe… and it’s gone ELECTRIC! Explore new and used car deals with Carwow: https://bit.ly/Change-Your-Car-20-05 Mat’s over in Germany getting hands-on with this all-new AMG, and he’s about to find out just how similar it is to last year’s AMG GT XX Concept. So let’s dive in… Starting with the exterior design, there’s no denying that on first impression, it’s clearly an evolution of the previous AMG GT 4-Door. Up front, there’s a huge grille, which in this instance includes LED ‘slats’ running across it. There’s an aggressive-looking front bumper, and the grille is flanked by updated headlights with the 3-pointed star design included in each. Along the side, there are 21-inch alloys and a sloping roofline that’s lower than the previous car. Around the back, there are yet more 3-pointed star lights, a large diffuser, and an active rear diffuser and spoiler! The inside of the car is distinctly an AMG. It comes with the AMG sports steering wheel with configurable driving modes, and there’s a huge digital driver's display and infotainment screen, as well as a third screen for the passenger. The cabin is incredibly well built with soft-touch or carbon fibre materials throughout, and the seats are solid yet incredibly comfortable. The new GT 4-Door Coupe comes with three electric motors that combine to produce an incredible 1,169hp at the top end! Even in its lowest setting, it can put down 1,000hp, so it’s an incredibly powerful beast. It comes with 106kWh batteries that were developed alongside the Mercedes F1 team, and it’s good for a range of 440 miles on a single charge. In terms of acceleration, it can hit 60mph in just 2.4 seconds - but that’s 0.1 seconds slower than the most powerful Porsche Taycan! In terms of price, the new GT 4-Door starts from around £120,000, rising up to around £190,000 for the top-of-the-range models! So is it set to be the best 4-door performance car money can buy? You’ll need to stick with Mat and see for yourself!
