Extreme Jungle Adventure - Buton Island (Sulawesi, Indonesia)

In this episode of "Sabang to Merauke Journey," I continue my trip from Baubau on Buton Island, as I go on an Extreme Jungle adventure, delving into the Islands hidden gems here in South East Sulawesi, Indonesia. The first part from Buton Island was focused on culture, but this video.. is raw Jungle adventure, as I venture into the rain forests of Buton Island. Accompanied by my local friend, Mario, we delve into the heart of this tropical paradise in Sulawesi. As we journey deeper into the rainforest, the more extreme the trip gets! Despite the challenging terrain, we push through this jungle adventure and where we are in for a truly unique and exotic experience on Buton Island. We are met with monkeys, massive spiders and a ton of bats! The sheer number is astounding, far beyond what I had imagined. However, I must caution those who fear bats, as encountering such a multitude may be unsettling. Additionally, the rainforest is home to various reptiles, including pythons. With hearts racing and adrenaline coursing through our veins, we watch in wonder as the bats soar overhead. But our journey doesn't conclude there. I then brave the turbulent waves to reach yet another gem, Lakadao Island. This leg of the adventure taught me a valuable lesson: never wear a red t-shirt when venturing out to sea!
