Video Description
A Gee’s Golden Langur (Trachypithecus geei), a rare and endangered primate species native to the forests of northeastern India and Bhutan. The langur is seen perched high among bamboo and leafy branches, reflecting its highly arboreal lifestyle spent mostly in the forest canopy. Its thick golden-orange fur contrasts beautifully with its dark black face, a defining characteristic of the species. The coat color of Gee’s Golden Langurs can vary seasonally, ranging from creamy pale shades to deeper golden tones during colder months. Near the center of the frame, the adult appears to be carrying an infant, which is typical maternal behavior among langurs. Young golden langurs are usually born with lighter whitish fur that gradually develops into the species’ signature golden coloration. Found primarily in and around Manas National Park, this species is considered one of the most visually striking and conservation-sensitive primates of the Indian subcontinent. #GeesGoldenLangur #GoldenLangur #TrachypithecusGeei #ManasNationalPark #AssamWildlife #EndangeredSpecies #IndianWildlife #PrimatesOfIndia #NatureDocumentary #WildlifeIndia Gee’s Golden Langur, Trachypithecus geei, golden langur India, endangered primates, Assam wildlife, Manas National Park animals, arboreal monkey India, langur mother and baby, northeastern India wildlife, wildlife documentary primates This footage is part of the broadcast stock footage archive of Wilderness Films India Ltd., the largest HD and 4K collection from South Asia.
