法廷内で裁判のやり取りを社員らが許可なく録音。複数の電力会社で相次いで発覚しています。
関西電力によりますと、遅くとも2014年ごろから、関電が当事者となる複数の訴訟において、複数の社員が本来必要な裁判長の許可を得ることなく、法廷内でのやり取りを録音していたということです。
社内のアンケート調査で発覚し、録音の目的は社内報告書を作成するためだったということです。
また、録音データはこの問題が発覚する前に削除されていたということです。
法廷内では裁判の当事者のプライバシー保護などを理由に裁判官の許可がない撮影や録音は禁止されていて、関西電力は「法令に抵触する不適切な行為として、重く受け止めている。再発防止に万全を期す」などとコメントしています。
法廷内の無断録音については、5月8日に中部電力の法務部門の社員が一部の民事訴訟で、裁判官の許可を得ずにボイスレコーダーやスマートフォンを使って法廷内のやりとりを録音していたことが発覚。
5月18日も九州電力で、複数の社員が許可なく法廷内での録音を続けてきたことが明らかになっています。
