Video Description
The Republic of Guinea is a country in West Africa, located on the Atlantic coast. Its capital city is Conakry, and the official language is French. Guinea is bordered by Guinea-Bissau, Senegal, Mali, Côte d’Ivoire, Liberia, Sierra Leone, and the Atlantic Ocean. It has a population of roughly 13–14 million people and uses the Guinean franc as its currency. Geographically, Guinea is very important because many major West African rivers, such as the Niger, Senegal, and Gambia, begin in its highlands, especially in the Fouta Djallon region. The country is often divided into four natural regions: the coastal area called Lower Guinea, the mountainous zone of Middle Guinea, the drier savanna of Upper Guinea, and the forested southeast known as Forest Guinea. Before European colonization, the area that is now Guinea was part of several powerful West African empires and states, including the Mali and Songhai empires and the Fula-led Imamate of Futa Jallon. In the late 19th century, it became part of French West Africa. Guinea gained its independence from France on 2 October 1958, becoming one of the first French colonies in sub-Saharan Africa to choose full independence. Since then, the country has gone through periods of authoritarian rule, military coups, and political instability, although it has also taken steps toward multiparty politics. Guinea’s population is made up of many ethnic groups, including the Peul (or Fula), Malinké (or Mandinka), and Soussou, among others. Islam is the majority religion, and there are also Christian and traditional religious communities. Guinean culture is rich in music, dance, and oral traditions, with griots playing an important role as storytellers and historians. Economically, Guinea is very rich in natural resources. It has some of the world’s largest reserves of bauxite, which is used to produce aluminum, as well as significant deposits of iron ore, gold, and diamonds. Agriculture is also important to the economy, with many people working in farming and growing crops such as rice, cassava, maize, coffee, and cocoa. Despite this natural wealth, the country faces serious development challenges, including poverty, weak infrastructure, and heavy dependence on raw material exports. Politically, Guinea is officially a republic with a president and a multi-party system. However, its political life has often been marked by coups, contested elections, and episodes of unrest linked to governance problems and economic hardship. International organizations such as the African Union and ECOWAS have frequently been involved in efforts to support stability and democratic processes. Guinea was also one of the countries most affected by the 2014–2016 Ebola outbreak in West Africa, which caused many deaths and put great pressure on its health system. Since then, the country has been working to strengthen healthcare and improve its ability to respond to future epidemics. Overall, the Republic of Guinea is a country with great natural and cultural wealth, but it continues to face significant political and economic challenges.

Video FAQs

These FAQs clarify what this video page measures, why revenue is estimated, and how to use the page for content research.

What can you learn from this video analytics page?

Why are RPM and revenue numbers estimates?

Actual earnings depend on monetized playbacks, audience geography, seasonality, advertiser demand, and monetization status. CloutOrbit provides directional estimates for benchmarking, not exact payouts.
