Video Description
A teenage Mercedes‑Benz driver suspected of reckless driving in a crash that killed four people on Jalan Renggam–Simpang Renggam, Kluang, has been remanded for two days. The order against the 19‑year‑old Singapore university student was issued by magistrate Mustaqim Sukarno to facilitate investigations under Section 42(1) of the Road Transport Act for dangerous driving, which carries up to five years’ jail and a RM15,000 fine. Police say the suspect was allegedly racing with his 22‑year‑old brother, who drove a BMW 530e, before the BMW lost control and triggered the five‑vehicle collision. The BMW driver later died while being rushed to hospital. The suspect arrived at court at 10.20am, with a brief commotion outside when his lawyer attempted to block photographers. The case continues as police probe reckless driving allegations. https://www.nst.com.my/news/regional/2026/06/1453539/singapore-university-student-remanded-over-kluang-crash-killed-four ---------------------------------- #NST #NSTTV #BatuPahat #Crash #Kluang #Johor #Death #JalanRenggam #BMW #Mercedes #PeroduaAlza #ToyotaVios #ProtonWira #RecklessDriving #Speeding #Court #Singapore #RemandOrder #NST #News #MalaysiaNews visit us at http://www.nst.com.my our Facebook http://www.facebook.com/nstonline more news at http://www.twitter.com/NST_Online Instagram http://www.instagram.com/nstonline and also Tiktok https://www.tiktok.com/@nstonline
