Video Description
Another suspected Ebola case has hit Europe with a patient being admitted to hospital in Austria after showing symptoms of the deadly virus. Health officicals announced that the sick patient had just returned from Uganda before showing signs of the fresh strain, Bundibugyo. The patient, who has not been named, returned an initial blood sample but showed no signs of the deadly virus. Officials in Austria have launched contact tracing to try and contain a potential spread of the virus if it comes back positive. If the test results are positive, it will mark the first case of the virus in Europe from the current outbreak.
