I had a look around the Bui Vien street area for any changes from previous years, checked out some insane Viet traffic and then had a beer in a bar that cost less than $1. Parts of this video include: 0:25 Vietnamese crazy traffic montage 1:16 Pham Ngu Lao street 2:13 One of the many alleys in this area 3:08 Bui Vien street 4:07 The famous Bui Vien conical hat sign 4:41 Lots of new bars 5:08 Luan Vu hotel location, a good place to stay if your budget is around $15 a night 5:53 86 Pho Tay bar, looks weird in the day 7:30 Street hawkers 8:21 159 bar in the day, ladies starting work early 9:26 The quiet end of Bui Vien street, there is a sign here too 10:27 Do Quang Dao street (connects Bui Vien with Pham Ngu Lao street) 10:44 Anyone for craft beer? 11:03 Bar menu 11:07 A beer for under $1, yes please! 11:40 Blue hour 12:53 Hawker pressure, expect a lot of this if you visit the Bui Vien street area 13:40 Outro Additional notes: This video was from a Visa run to Vietnam, where I stayed in the capital city of Saigon for a few days. I visited at the end of Feb 2020. Thank you for watching, and subscribe for more videos. NB: Saigon / Ho Chi Minh City are the same city, the name was changed after the 70s. The locals all call it Saigon so that's what I call it here.
