Video Description
Afghanistan: The Last Resistance | ENDEVR Documentary Watch 'Graveyard of Empires - Afghanistan a Failed Nation Experiment?' here: https://youtu.be/xevSUNXdfs8 He is Public Enemy Number One to the Taliban. A hunted man who refuses to stop fighting. Khalid Amiry, a former colonel in the Afghan special forces, now leads resistance to the Taliban in the Panjshir Valley. A commander in Ahmad Massoud’s resistance, he is one of the only resistance leaders still fighting in Afghanistan. Featuring never-before-seen amateur footage shot by the mujahideen themselves and the Taliban, this exclusive film provides a first-hand account of their fierce resistance. Two hours from Kabul, a forgotten guerrilla war is being waged. In the heart of the Panjshir province, the Mujahedin have retreated into the mountains, braving the cold and the ever-growing Taliban. This landlocked valley was the birthplace of Commander Massoud, a national hero assassinated in 2001 and famous for his fight against Soviet forces. Today, another name echoes in these steep mountains: Khalid Amiry. When the Taliban regained control of the country in August 2021, and many Afghans were desperately trying to leave the country, he and his men “went underground." Leaving aboard two refurbished helicopters loaded with weapons, which had been abandoned on the tarmac in Kabul, Khalid Amiry flew to the Panjshir Valley to continue the fight. Cut off from the rest of the world and without the support of the international community, which fears that helping them could fuel a civil war, Amiry and his men are short of food and ammunition. But still they refuse to submit. ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Subscribe to ENDEVR for free: https://bit.ly/3e9YRRG Facebook: https://bit.ly/2QfRxbG Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/endevrdocs/ ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ #FreeDocumentary #ENDEVR #afghanistan #taliban ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ ENDEVR explains the world we live in through high-quality documentaries, special investigations, explainer videos, and animations.
